We worked with Impact HUB King’s Cross to enhance the agile-working and communal functions of the space through evidence-based design strategy.
Impact HUB is an international network of over 60 co-working spaces at the forefront of thinking and design for the 21st century model of work, and King’s Cross was one of the flagship locations. Five years after opening, IHKC asked us to take stock of how their space was performing, and how it might better support diverse functions ranging from collaboration and informal meetings to concentrated work, sensitive phone calls, and the community interaction that is key to Impact HUB’s social enterprise mission.
We worked with IHKC to audit current working patterns and needs, noise levels, and member satisfaction, providing the evidence base for a design strategy enhancing spatial performance in terms of supporting community, well-being, and productivity.
